Mixed injury news for QPR ahead of Nottingham Forest game

Joel Lynch and Yeni Ngbakoto could return for QPR against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Defender Lynch went off injured during last month’s home win against Bristol City, while French winger Ngbakoto has not featured for almost two months.

Both players resumed training this week and might be involved at the City Ground, where Rangers have never won.

But striker Idrissa Sylla is a doubt for the game – he picked up a knock in last Friday’s loss against Brentford and faces a late fitness test.

That derby defeat was a crushing blow for Rangers and manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is looking for a strong response from his players.

“In situations like this you have to be able to look each other in the eye, talk to each other and tell each other what we need from one another,” Hasselbaink told QPR’s website.

“We need solutions. This isn’t about pointing fingers, it’s about finding solutions so we can move forward. That starts with taking responsibility and having some guts.

“Now it is all about trying to put that right and being really positive, even though we are away from home.

“We want to be positive and get some self-satisfaction back. This is about showing our character and our commitment.”
