QPR will be without striker Idrissa Sylla and winger Yeni Ngbakoto for their game at Sheffield Wednesday later today.

Ngbakoto (pictured) has picked up an ankle injury in training, while Sylla took a blow to the head during Tuesday’s cup win against Northampton Town.

The duo join Jordan Cousins and Grant Hall on the sidelines.

Cousins has been ruled out with another hamstring injury, while Hall continues to struggle with tendonitis.

And Steven Caulker is not yet being considered for a return to league action.

The defender’s outing against Northampton was his first appearance for 10 months and he is still working on his fitness.

But Matt Smith has been passed fit for the match at Hillsborough.

Like Sylla, target man Smith took a knock to the head during the Northampton game.

The former Fulham man has since been assessed and given the all-clear to join the Rangers squad.

That squad includes Kazenga LuaLua, who has returned to QPR on loan from Brighton until January.

LuaLua had a full pre-season back at Brighton and R’s boss Ian Holloway expects him to be more involved than during the winger’s first loan spell.

He moved to Loftus Road in January and injury problems restricted him to just two starts for Holloway’s side.
