Willian and Alonso out – expected Chelsea line-up v Watford

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard faces some tough choices for the game against Watford at Vicarage Road later today.

Lampard is still without Antonio Rudiger, while Andreas Christensen is not fully fit after a hamstring problem, so Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori are set to continue at centre-back.

Chelsea also have injury concerns in midfield, with Ross Barkley ruled out along with N’Golo Kante.

Lampard admitted that prevented him resting Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic for the midweek Carabao Cup game against Manchester United and the experienced duo are set to continue.

Mason Mount was rested for the United match and is in line for a return, with Billy Gilmour likely to be on the bench.

Emerson Palmieri could well get the nod over Marcos Alonso at left-back and the biggest decision facing Lampard is whether to go with youth, experience or a mixture of both when selecting which attacking players to support striker Tammy Abraham.

Lampard is all about giving youth a chance, so expect Callum Hudson-Odoi and the in-form Christian Pulisic to start and Willian and Pedro to be on the bench.

Likely Chelsea line-up: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Emerson, Jorginho, Kovacic, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Pulisic, Abraham.
