Having been tipped to take Jorginho with him to Juventus, Maurizio Sarri is reportedly unlikely to launch a bid to sign the Chelsea man.
The midfielder played under Sarri at Napoli prior to joining him at Chelsea last year and there has been speculation that he could join Sarri at Juve following the manager’s recent departure from Stamford Bridge.
But the Daily Mail say the move is unlikely because Sarri sees Miralem Pjanic as a similar type of player and plans to deploy him in the midfield role Jorginho has previously performed for Sarri at Napoli and then Chelsea.
The Daily Mirror on the other hand believe Jorginho is keen to reunite with the outgoing Blues boss.
Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has apparently suggested the player is open to a move.
Santos was quoted as saying: “Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest.
“His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional.
“Right now, Jorginho is happy at Chelsea. He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen on the transfer market. We’ll wait and see.”
