Three young Chelsea stars set to follow Hudson-Odoi and sign new contracts

Callum Hudson-Odoi last week handed Chelsea a huge boost by committing his long-term future to the club.

The England Under-21 international signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge – months after asking for a move amid interest from German side Bayern Munich.

Hudson-Odoi was assured he’ll have a significant role under boss Frank Lampard – and he’s not the only homegrown youngster the manager is keen to establish.

He’s therefore not the only one lined up for a new deal, with reports suggesting other young stars are set to put pen to paper.

Tammy Abraham

Abraham has been in terrific goalscoring form, justifying Lampard’s belief that the young star can establish himself as a Premier League number nine to be reckoned with. Reports say a five-year deal is in the offing.

Fikayo Tomori

Reports also suggest a five-year deal will be given to defender Fiyako, who has caught the eye this season. The centre-back, who played under Lampard on loan at Derby last season, has really looked the part for the Blues – especially in Sunday’s game against a top-class Liverpool side.

Reece James

It’s also a matter of time before James’ future at the Bridge is cemented. Now recovered from an ankle injury, the right-back is highly regarded by Lampard and looks certain to eventually oust Cesar Azpilicueta.
