Many Chelsea fans on Twitter were left disappointed by boss Maurizio Sarri’s team selection against PAOK.
Sarri made five changes for the Europa League encounter but there was still no starting place for Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who had been tipped to feature in Greece.
And the decision to not even give youngsters Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi places on the substitutes’ bench left many Blues fans dismayed.
Ampadu, who signed a new five-year contract this week and won rave reviews for his recent performances for Wales, seemed to have a very good chance of playing at least some part in the game.

Not surprised by Odoi’s exclusion, but Ampadu deserves a place… but I can understand that Sarri might be looking to book the position for next round and then give chance to these players, still would have loved to see them both in that yellow jersey… #cfc #KTBFFH
