Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata could be out for more than a month, scans performed by Spain’s medical team suggest.
The Spain international, 24, went off with a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat against Manchester City on Saturday.
Morata has duly been ruled out of Spain’s internationals this week and returned to Chelsea, who are set to carry out their own tests.
Morata has scored seven goals for the Blues since his summer move from Real Madrid.
