Paper round-up: Chelsea and Everton vying to sign England striker Wilson

The Sun say Everton have joined Chelsea in a battle to sign Callum Wilson from Bournemouth.

Chelsea were linked with the England striker before signing Gonzalo Higuain on loan in January.

The Sun reckon there will be a £40m battle to sign Wilson this summer and that his former club Coventry will get 10% of any transfer fee.

Meanwhile, Everton want to sign Kurt Zouma on a permanent deal when his season-long loan from Chelsea expires, according to The Times.

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal to sign highly-rated teenage forward Gabriel Martinelli.

The Daily Mirror have picked up on reports in the player’s native Brazil that Arsenal have an agreement in place to sign him from Ituano.

The 17-year-old has been linked with several European clubs and spent time time on trial at Manchester United in 2017.

The Gunners will reportedly pay around £5m to take him to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The Sun predict Petr Cech will opt for a coaching role with Chelsea rather than Arsenal when he retires from playing at the end of the season.

The Daily Mail reports that police have upgraded the risk category for Chelsea’s visit to Cardiff to the highest possible amid fears of violence among fans.

The Mail also reports that Crystal Palace head of coaching David Muir has left the club after being accused of a racial slur and that Declan Rice was on the verge of leaving West Ham on loan last summer.

And The Sun reports that Hammers striker Marko Arnautovic has personally telephoned West Ham fans in an attempt to win them over.
