Chelsea and Man Utd target says he wants move

Elseid Hysaj has confirmed he wants to leave Napoli this summer.

The Albanian full-back, 25, has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, while Manchester United are also reported to be interested.

I’m absolutely ready for a new challenge because I need change,” he told DigitAlb, as reported by Talksport.

“I’m not the type of person who likes to stay at a club for too long.

“I want to have new experiences, learn about a new country, meet new people, play for another team and maybe try to win something.

“For me, my time at Napoli is over and I hope to find a team that will give me what I need.”

Juventus and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with Hysaj – and a move to Juve looks a definite possibility in light of Maurizio Sarri’s possible move to Turin.

Hysaj previously played under Sarri at Napoli and the Italian boss was keen to be reunited with him at Stamford Bridge.

Whether Chelsea will still pursue the player if, as expected, Sarri leaves for Juve, remains to be seen.

The player’s agent, Mario Giuffredi, has been quoted as saying: “I think Sarri will go to Juventus and which player wouldn’t like to follow the coach who made him show more than the others?”
