Agent rules out move for Chelsea star

Emerson Palmieri’s agent Leonardo Cornacini has insisted there is no prospect of the player leaving Chelsea this summer.

Italian media reports have linked Emerson with a move to Juventus, who are expected to install Maurizio Sarri as boss.

Emerson was linked with Juve in January, when he was struggling to establish himself in the Chelsea first team.

However, he has since ousted Marcos Alonso from the side and Cornacini says Emerson is happy at Stamford Bridge.

“Emerson? He has many years left on his contract and both he and the club are happy. His future will be in London,” Calciomercato.com quoted Cornacini as saying.

Meanwhile, Sarri is reported to have made it clear that he wants to be released from his contract at Chelsea, which has two years left to run.

The Guardian say Chelsea are waiting for a formal approach from Juventus for Sarri, who is expected to take over from the outgoing Max Allegri at the Turin club.

Sarri has repeatedly insisted that he wants to remain at Chelsea and that he would like to stay in the Premier League if he does leave the Bridge.

However, he now looks set to return to Serie A, where he previously made his name as Napoli boss.
