Paper round-up: Price tag placed on Arsenal star amid PSG interest

Arsenal have put a £60m price tag on Matteo Guendouzi amid interest from Paris St Germain, according to the Daily Express.

The young midfielder has impressed hugely since arriving at the Emirates Stadium from Lorient and reports in France claim he could make a return to the country this summer.

PSG apparently see him as a potential replacement for Adrien Rabiot, who is expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Zinedine Zidane is interested in managing Chelsea and would like to speak to the club but would want conditions met before taking the job, according to The Sun.

The newspaper recently claimed that Chelsea want former Real Madrid boss Zidane to take over if under-pressure head coach Maurizio Sarri is axed.

Now The Sun declare that “the French legend is keen to talk seriously about taking over as boss.”

But it is also claimed that Zidane would set three conditions before agreeing to take over at Stamford Bridge.

They are that Eden Hazard signs a new Chelsea contract, that Zidane is given £200m to spend – and more if players are sold – and that he has a major say in recruitment alongside Blues director Marina Granovskaia.

Over the weekend, the Daily Mail reported that Chelsea’s players believe a change is in the offing following a recent poor run of results, which included a 6-0 hammering at Manchester City.

One player is said to have “confided in his adviser” that he thinks Sarri will be sacked if Chelsea do not win at least one of their next two matches.

The Mail also suggested owner Roman Abramovich’s interest in the club is dwindling and that the Russian now has “less inclination” to compete with big-spending City and Manchester United for top players.

The Times reported that key figures at the Bridge are questioning Granovskaia’s judgement.
