Mesut Ozil will commit to a new three-year deal at Arsenal, according to reports in his native Germany.

Bild claim Ozil has been impressed with the club’s transfer activity in January, following the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the impending arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Ozil is out of contract this summer but the Daily Star, picking up on the report in Bild, says the midfielder is happy in London.

He joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013.

Meanwhile, Gunners full-back Mathieu Debuchy is interesting St-Etienne, the Independent says.

The French international is out of favour at the Emirates and a report in L’Equipe suggests he will be allowed to move for free before the transfer window closes.

The future of Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez may depend on Crystal Palace’s moves in the transfer market.

The Daily Mirror say Palace are still hoping to tie up a deadline-day deal for Vicente Guaita, who is currently keeping Martinez out of the team at Getafe, where he is on loan.

The report adds that Martinez wanted to cut short his stay in Spain, and potentially join Leeds United, but may decide to hang on if Guaita is sold and make a play to become Getafe’s number one keeper.
