Paper round-up: Ivory Coast star Pepe welcomes Arsenal rumours

Lille winger Nicolas Pepe has welcomed reports that Arsenal are interested in him, the Evening Standard reports.

The Gunners have been linked with Pepe, 23, along with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

Asked about the speculation, the Ivory Coast international said: “A preference between Dortmund, Bayern or Arsenal?

“They’re all big clubs, I was not aware of these rumours, although it’s nice.”

Meanwhile,The Sun say Crystal Palace are lining up a £10m bid for Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck when the transfer window reopens in January.

Manchester City are monitoring Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the Daily Mirror say.

Everton were recently linked with the 20-year-old right-back, who has impressed for the Eagles this season.

Now City reportedly regard him as a potential future signing and have been keeping tabs on him.

The Mirror say City have made “a number of discreet enquiries” about Wan-Bissaka.

The Mirror say West Ham want Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan but Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has blocked the move.
