Paper round-up: Emery keen for Arsenal to offload Ozil

Unai Emery wants Arsenal to find a club for Mesut Ozil during this month’s transfer window, the Daily Mail say.

It comes amid continued speculation over the future of the German, who was again dropped by Gunners boss Emery at the weekend.

Emery is keen to make signings and the Mail say he wants the club to find an exit for Ozil in order to pave the way for new faces to be brought in.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth would sell Callum Wilson for £75m, the Daily Star say.

It follows reports that Chelsea are willing to pay £50m for the England striker if they are unable to bring in Gonzalo Higuain, who is currently on a season-long loan at AC Milan from Juventus.

The Star claim that “behind closed doors” Bournemouth say they would listen to offers of £75m.

Higuain has formally requested to leave AC Milan, the Daily Mail reports.

The Argentine forward, who played under Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, is said to be pushing for a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Mail say Chelsea are looking to sign him on an 18-month loan and that Alvaro Morata could move to Milan as part of a deal.

The Mail and Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf say Fulham are close to signing former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel on loan from Besiktas.

And The Sun say Manchester United want Timothy Fosu-Mensah to stay at Fulham, who are keen for his season-long loan to be terminated in order to create space in the squad.

The defender wants to move elsewhere but The Sun suggest United believe his struggle for first-team football at Craven Cottage is an important learning experience for him.
