Arsenal are confident they can keep hold of Aaron Ramsey despite other clubs apparently being keen on him, the Daily Mirror say.

Ramsey, who has a year remaining on his Gunners contract and has been negotiating a new deal, was linked with a number of clubs, including Chelsea prior to the English transfer window closing.

The Mirror now claim there is interest from Barcelona, Lazio and Chinese clubs but that Arsenal believe he will sign a new deal.

However, the newspaper also say “foreign interest has only strengthened his bargaining position” and that “Arsenal’s wage bill is an issue as they try to balance the books.”

Ramsey knows he could comfortably earn in excess of £250,000 a week if he sees out the final year of his contract and becomes a free agent, the Mirror say.

Meanwhile, The Sun say 20-year-old striker Stephy Mavididiis in talks over a permanent move from Arsenal to Juventus.

The Sun also say Tottenham fear their new stadium will not be ready for another three months.

It comes after an online recruitment agency posted a job saying “10 electricians required for immediate start in North London on a large commercial project” on three-month contracts.

The Sun describe it as an “an SOS for more electricians” and say the agency has confirmed the work is on Spurs’ new ground.

And Chelsea could offer Willian a two-year contract extension, The Sun say.

Willian, who recently turned 30, has two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Club policy is to not give long-term deals to players over the age of 30, but The Sun say Chelsea could relax this in order to reward Willian by extending his contract to 2022.
